MOUNT OLIVE, N.C. — An initiative aimed at reducing recidivism and bringing reentry resources directly to communities across North Carolina is expanding with the unveiling of a third mobile service center in Mount Olive.
RREPS, Inc. will unveil its Third Mobile Recidivism Reduction Center during a special event Wednesday, Aug. 19, from noon to 2 p.m. at 612 S. Breazeale Ave. in Mount Olive.
Trillium Health Resources incoming CEO Senitria Goodman will headline the event. Organizers say the appearance will be among Goodman’s first major public appearances as incoming CEO and will highlight Trillium’s commitment to expanding access, encouraging innovation and building partnerships across organizations and communities.
The new mobile center expands a service model designed to take reentry assistance directly into high-need communities, helping remove transportation and accessibility barriers that can prevent people from receiving services.
According to RREPS, its first two mobile units have already served more than 13,000 people across North Carolina.
“This expansion reflects what is possible when we invest in people and remove barriers to care and opportunity,” said Kerwin Pittman, founder and executive director of RREPS, Inc.
The Aug. 19 unveiling will bring together state officials, community leaders and partners to highlight collaborative efforts to reduce recidivism and help people successfully transition back into their communities.
