GOLDSBORO, N.C. — The Arts Council of Wayne County is accepting applications for its 2026–27 Grassroots Arts Program subgrants, offering local organizations an opportunity to receive funding for arts programs and activities benefiting Wayne County residents.
The Grassroots Arts Program is a partnership with the North Carolina Arts Council that supports local arts experiences and works to expand access to the arts in communities across the state.
As the designated county partner, the Arts Council of Wayne County is responsible for administering and awarding Grassroots Arts Program subgrants locally.
Organizations interested in applying are encouraged to contact the Arts Council as soon as possible to discuss their proposed projects and learn more about the application process. Arts Council staff are available to assist prospective applicants before they submit their applications.
Officials strongly encourage organizations to take advantage of that assistance and schedule a conversation well ahead of the deadline.
Applications must be submitted by Sept. 2, 2026.
Funding is limited, and awards will be determined following a review of eligible applications. Proposed programs and activities must meet North Carolina Arts Council Grassroots Arts Program requirements and serve Wayne County residents.
For application information or to schedule a conversation about a proposed project, contact the Arts Council of Wayne County at info@artsinwayne.org or visit artsinwayne.org.
