August 2, 2026, 63, – Albert Earl Dunbar, Jr., 63, passed away peacefully on Sunday, August 2, 2026, at Kitty Askins Hospice Center.
Born in Columbus, Georgia, on December 4, 1962, Al was the son of Albert Earl Dunbar, Sr. and the late Barbara Head Dunbar.
A proud veteran, Al served his country in the United States Army. His military service reflected his love for his country and his willingness to serve others.
A graveside service to celebrate Al’s life will be held on Thursday, August 6, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. in the Falling Creek Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends immediately following the service at the cemetery.
In addition to his father, Albert Earl Dunbar, Sr., Al is survived by his sister, Rhonda Dunbar Hartley; and his two children.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Al’s memory to Falling Creek Baptist Church, 498 Falling Creek Church Road, Goldsboro, NC 27530.
