MOUNT OLIVE, NC — Town of Mount Olive has announced holiday closures and adjustments to sanitation services in observance of Memorial Day.
Town offices will be closed Monday, May 25, 2026, and will reopen Tuesday, May 26, at 8 a.m.
Residential garbage and yard waste collection schedules will also be adjusted during the holiday week. Monday’s collection route will be serviced on Tuesday, while Tuesday’s route will be collected on Wednesday. Thursday and Friday routes will remain on their normal schedules.
Town officials also announced that the Recyclable Center will be closed Saturday, May 23, and will reopen Tuesday, May 26.
Residents experiencing water or sewer emergencies during the holiday closure are encouraged to call 919-658-5031 and select option 0 to be connected with non-emergency dispatch assistance.
