May 14, 2026, 74, Goldsboro – Gayle entered the presence of God from Kitty Askins, surrounded by her family who were singing to her as she journeyed to heaven. Her loved ones are comforted to know she was welcomed by God into her eternal home with open arms. She had faithfully served as a soldier in God’s Army with strength and grace until her last breath.
From an early age Gayle and her sisters enjoyed singing for the Lord. The Hall Family Singers could be heard every Monday night at 7 pm on TV21/WHFL for over 45 years. Her children have many memories of listening to their mother and her sisters singing about their love for Jesus. She was a loving mother to her boys. Her grandchildren all held a special place in her heart. Just the mention of her first great grandchild brought a smile to her face.
Gayle worked for many years at Standard Products. Upon her retirement, she opened Two Mommas gift shop in Pikeville in honor of her and her mother’s love for sewing and crafting. After closing the shop, she began home care sitting. She is remembered by each family she sat with for her compassion, kindness and servant heart.
Gayle was a faithful member of Fremont Holiness Church. She was an evangelist who spread the love and word of God for over 40 years. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, sister and friend to all who knew her.
