WAYNE COUNTY, N.C. — The Partnership for Children of Wayne County is celebrating the success of its 9th Annual Touch A Truck event held at the Wayne County Fairgrounds after raising $29,630 toward its $30,000 fundraising goal.
Organizers announced this week that the event is now just $370 away from reaching its target, thanks to overwhelming community support from sponsors, donors, vendors, volunteers, and attendees.
Touch A Truck is one of the organization’s signature family events, giving children the opportunity to explore a variety of vehicles and equipment up close while supporting programs and services that benefit local children and families.
Officials with The Partnership for Children said the strong turnout and community involvement helped make this year’s event a major success.
“Every sponsorship, donation, vendor, volunteer, and attendee helped make this event a huge success for local children and families,” the organization shared in a statement.
Community members who would like to help the organization cross the finish line and meet its fundraising goal can still make donations online through the organization’s website.
