April 28, 2026, 7, Goldsboro – Kathryn Hamm Adkins, 75, passed away at Willow Creek Nursing and Rehab on Tuesday, April 28, 2026. She was born September 23, 1950 in Bangor, Maine to the late Walter Albert Hamm, Sr. and Shirley Inez Hewes Hamm. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Jimmy Adkins and a son, Lonnie Ray Barnes, Jr.
She is survived by sons, Steven Barnes (Jean) and David Barnes ( Jennifer) both of Benson; brothers, Leroy Hamm, Richard Hamm and Ira Hamm; sisters, Mary Crocker, Geraldine Thiebolt, Joanne Berry, Donna Lavensailor, and Phyllis Barnette; 4 grandchildren and 10 great-great-grandchildren.
