April 13, 2026, 78, Kenly – Glennie Marie Creech, 78, passed away on Monday, April 13, 2026 at her home surrounded by her loving family. Born in Wilson County on March 3, 1948, she was daughter to the late Edward Creech and Clara Belle Pender Newsome.
Glennie is survived by her sisters, Diane Core and husband, Sherwood, Frances Joyner, Wanda Gillie and Connie Coley and husband, Lynwood; her brother, Jimmy Wayne McMillan and partner, Karen; her sister-in-law, Susan Newsome; her special niece, Sharon Renfrow and husband, David; her step-daughter, Gina Santos and her family; along with many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Glennie was preceded in death by her son, Ricky Lancaster; her brothers, Mack Creech, and Bobby Newsome; her sisters, Peggy McMillan, Betty Lou Creech, and Joyce Neuweiler; and her nephews, Timothy Mack Creech, David Joyner, and Paul Creech.
A graveside service to honor Glennie’s life will be held on Thursday, April 16, 2026 at 11:00 a.m. at the Kenly Cemetery.
