December 4, 2025, 66, Goldsboro — JR Pitt, Jr., 66, of William St., died Thursday at the Kitty Askins Hospice Center.

He was born on December 11, 1959, in Wayne County to the late JR Pitt, Sr., and Minnie Bass Pitt. He is survived by his daughter, Minitta Artis Martin of Prince George, VA.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday at 1:00 PM in the Rev. Ernie Haskins Memorial Chapel of Haskins Memorial Services.

Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. At other times, the family will receive friends at 404 S. Goldsboro St., Fremont.
