Matthews Funeral Home Family announces to all that Mrs. Joann Cole, no longer answers to her name on this side because she answered her Heavenly Father’s summons on Wednesday morning, December 3, 2025 while resting at home in Goldsboro, NC.

The “Last Mile” events between Mrs. Cole and her precious loved ones will be begin with visiting moments on Saturday, December 6, 2025 from 11am until 12noon in the main chapel of E.M. Matthews Funeral Home in Goldsboro, NC. The celebratory events will climax with an Intimate Service of Remembrance at 12noon also in the E.M. Matthews Life Celebration Chapel. Yes this is as far as Mrs. Cole’s relatives can trod with her on this side of eternity, however, they can find solace understanding, she is now in that land flowing with milk and honey and the King of Kings is present with all the saints that have made it over and each are praising our Savior all the day long. 

Visitors are being received at the residence located at 119 Deborah Lane, Goldsboro, NC during this time.
