Herbert Ainsworth Henderson Jr., 59, of Nashville, NC passed away on November 25, 2025.

A private service will be held.

Herbert was born in Wayne County on June 16, 1966 to the late Herbert Ainsworth Henderson Sr. and Glenda Griffin Henderson.  Herbert had a natural gift and lifelong passion for cars–a talent that came effortlessly and brought him joy throughout his life.  He loved fishing, finding unusual antiques, music, spending time at the beach and enjoying good times with the people he cared about.

He is survived by his two daughters, Sarah Mooring and Lydia Penkala; his brother, John Glenn Taylor of Raleigh and his sister-in-law, Teresa Hill of Fremont.

In addition to his parents, Herbert Ainsworth Henderson Sr. and Glenda Griffin Henderson Taylor; Herbert was preceded in death by his two brothers, Reggie Henderson and Randy Hill.

Professional services are in the care of Shackleford-Howell Funeral Home in Fremont.
