Ricky Davis, 64, of Goldsboro, NC passed away on Thursday, October 9, 2025, at Kitty Askins Hospice Center in Goldsboro, NC.

A celebration of his life is schedule for 12:00pm on Wednesday, October 15, 2025, at Marantha Seventh Day Adventist Church, 212 East Oak St, Goldsboro, NC. Pastor Cornelius Westley will deliver the eulogy. Interment will follow in Jerusalem FWB Church Cemetery, 395 Jerusalem Church Rd, Seven Springs, NC. A public viewing will be held prior to the service from 11:00am -11:45am at Marantha Seventh Day Adventist Church.

Ricky Lee Davis, beloved owner of Davis Relocations LLC, peacefully departed this life on Thursday, October 9, 2025, leaving behind a legacy of love, hard work, and generosity.  Born with a steadfast spirit and an open heart, Ricky dedicated almost 40 years to the open road as a skilled tractor trailer driver before founding his own company, Davis Relocations LLC. Through unwavering determination and a passion for helping others, he built a business rooted in integrity and community care.

Ricky’s life was filled with passions that brought him immeasurable joy. He loved the thrill of drag strip racing, the adventure of traveling to new places, good music that moved the soul, and unforgettable gatherings centered around eating seafood, always believing the more, the merrier. His laughter, light, and warm heart were a beacon to all who knew him.

A man of profound kindness, Ricky was known for putting others before himself. His generosity touched countless lives, making friends feel like family and brightening the world with simple acts of care.  He was a faithful member of the Marantha Seventh-Day Adventist Church.

Family

Ricky was a devoted father to Teena Davis, India Davis Graham, Ricky Davis Jr., Tremonton (TC) Davis and Isiah Davis. He also raised Bradrick Williams and MyLeigha Williams as his own children. He was a cherished brother to Marilyn Powell, Pamela Davis, Teresa Davis, and Carol Stevens-Atkinson. As a proud grandfather, Ricky adored Arianna (Ari) Davis, Teanna (TT) Lewis and Bradrick (Tre) Williams III.  He was also a special and loving friend to Aleah Cawthon. Ricky loved and was loved by his aunts Edna Davis and Carolyn Davis as well as a host of cousins, nieces, and friends. He was preceded in death by his mother Christine Davis and grandmother Effie Mae Davis. His love for family was the cornerstone of his life, an unwavering foundation upon which many stood.

Legacy

Ricky’s legacy lives on in the hearts of his loving family, his close friends, and all whose lives he touched. As we gather to celebrate his journey, we remember a kind soul, a loving father and grandfather, a loyal brother, and a devoted friend.  May his memory inspire us to live with compassion, to pursue our dreams, and to cherish every moment with those we hold dear.
