Ida B. Fryar, 85, of Goldsboro went to her heavenly home Sunday, October 12, 2025 at Willow Creek Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Goldsboro.
A Celebration of life will be held Friday at 10 a.m. in the chapel of Howell Funeral Home & Crematory in Goldsboro with visitation to follow.
Mrs. Fryar was born in Freestone County, Texas on April 7, 1940 to the late Fred and Ora Lee Williams Lewis. She was a member of Seymour Johnson Air Force Base Chapel where she faithfully attended while her health permitted.
Cherishing her memories include her husband, Norwood Fryar; one son, Kevin Fryar and wife, Kate Jackson of Maryland; one daughter, Gwen Williams of Boston Massachusetts; three brothers, James Harold Ross, Jimmy Ross and John T. Smith all of Texas; one sister, LaPearl Lewis of California; two grandchildren, Carl Williams and Christopher Williams and her great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Marva Lewis.
