18-Year-Old Charged Following Investigation Into Three Incidents Targeting Online Buyers

GOLDSBORO, N.C. — The Goldsboro Police Department has arrested an 18-year-old Goldsboro resident in connection with a series of robberies targeting individuals attempting to purchase electronics, authorities announced this week.

Amarrii Faison was taken into custody on October 12 following an investigation into three separate incidents occurring over the course of six weeks. The suspect was arrested at a residence on Day Circle with assistance from the Goldsboro Police Department’s Emergency Response Team.

Initial Incidents

According to police records, the first incident occurred on August 27, 2025, when a victim reported that a subject approached her near Harris Street and snatched cash from her hands after she agreed to purchase a PlayStation 5. The Goldsboro Police Department’s Criminal Investigations Division responded to the scene and began gathering evidence.

A second, more serious incident unfolded on September 6, 2025, when a victim reported that he was robbed at gunpoint near the same location. The suspect allegedly took currency from the victim before fleeing the scene. The situation escalated when the victim pursued the suspect and encountered three additional armed subjects near the apartment complex, prompting the victim to cease his pursuit.

Third Robbery

A third robbery occurred on September 18, 2025, at a separate location on South Taylor Street. According to the report, a victim arrived to purchase a PlayStation 5 and was robbed of cash by a male subject who fled the area.

Arrest and Charges

On October 6, 2025, the Criminal Investigations Division obtained arrest warrants charging Faison with two counts of felony larceny from the person and one count of felony robbery with a dangerous weapon. Following his arrest three days later, Faison was taken before the magistrate and was denied bond. He appeared for his first appearance on October 14, 2025.

Victims Identified

The three victims in the cases were identified as Kayla Brown, 24, of Wilmington; Noah Coleman-Kelly, 20, of LaGrange; and Ethan Cromartie, 23, of Wallace.

The Goldsboro Police Department encourages residents to exercise caution when meeting individuals to conduct transactions and recommends choosing public locations and bringing a companion when possible.
