GOLDSBORO, N.C. — The Goldsboro Police Department will host its annual National Night Out celebration from 5 to 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 7, at Herman Park, located at 900 Park Avenue.
The community event aims to strengthen relationships between residents and law enforcement while promoting neighborhood unity and community engagement. National Night Out, which has been held nationwide since 1984, provides an opportunity for citizens to connect with local police officers and learn about public safety initiatives.
The Goldsboro Police Department emphasizes that a safer community begins with knowing your neighbors and being aware of your surroundings. The department views the event as essential to building stronger connections between law enforcement and the community they serve.
This year’s celebration will feature more than 60 vendors, along with family-friendly activities and safety demonstrations. Attendees will have the chance to meet with officers, volunteers, and representatives from various community organizations.
The Goldsboro Police Department encourages all residents to attend the free event to celebrate community spirit and unity.
