GOLDSBORO, N.C. — The Wayne County Chamber of Commerce will host its annual “State of the Military” briefing on Thursday, October 23rd, bringing together community leaders and military officials for a comprehensive update on operations at Seymour Johnson Air Force Base.
The event, scheduled from 8:30 a.m. to 10 a.m. at the Goldsboro Event Center, will feature presentations from leadership of both the 4th Fighter Wing and the 916th Refueling Wing stationed at the base.
Military officials are expected to provide detailed updates on current operations, recent achievements, and key challenges facing the installation and its impact on the surrounding community. The briefing represents an important opportunity for local business leaders and residents to gain insight into the base’s strategic priorities and community partnerships.
Seymour Johnson Air Force Base serves as home to the 4th Fighter Wing, which operates F-15E Strike Eagles, and the 916th Refueling Wing, an Air Force Reserve unit that provides critical aerial refueling capabilities.
