GOLDSBORO, N.C. — Wayne Community College has earned significant recognition in Niche’s latest rankings, placing second among North Carolina’s community colleges and 13th nationally in the platform’s 2026 Best Community Colleges lists.

Randolph Community College claimed the top spot in the state, while Stanly Community College, Nash Community College, and Western Piedmont Community College rounded out the top five at third, fourth, and fifth places, respectively.
