GOLDSBORO, NC — The Bhangi Gold Organization recently hosted its Back to School Adult & Children Vendor Bash, an innovative community event designed to shine a spotlight on child entrepreneurs while providing valuable learning experiences for young people to become their own bosses.
The vendor bash brought together 13 local businesses and organizations, creating a vibrant marketplace that showcased both established and emerging entrepreneurs. Among the participating vendors were Jean’s Cuisines, CSW Prints & More, Cub Scouts Pack 3, Tagan’s Book Blind Dates, Mac Lemonade, Dr. Deans Beach Fries & Dogs, Carolina Snow, Bhangi Gold, AA Brew, Packed and Ready, Broom Moon Cottage, Jarocho Volobản, and K&K Snacks.
The event served a dual purpose, combining entrepreneurial education with community support for the upcoming school year. In addition to providing young vendors with hands-on business experience, the bash included a community yard sale organized by Bhangi Gold, offering families affordable back-to-school shopping options.
Demonstrating their commitment to supporting local families, Jean’s Cuisines and Bhangi Gold provided free school supplies and backpacks to attendees, helping ensure students have the necessary materials to start the school year successfully.
The vendor bash represents a unique approach to community engagement, fostering entrepreneurial spirit among children while addressing practical needs of local families preparing for the back-to-school season. By creating opportunities for young people to operate their own businesses in a supportive environment, the event aims to build confidence and business acumen in the next generation of entrepreneurs.
The Bhangi Gold Organization expressed special appreciation for Tagan from Tagan’s Book Blind Dates and April from Broom Moon Cottage, recognizing their continued support and assistance at every event. The organization noted their dedication to helping make each community gathering a success.
Event attendees also praised the food offerings, with particular acclaim for Chef Jay’s barbecue, chicken, mac and cheese, and green beans, which were highlighted as delicious additions to the vendor bash experience.
The Bhangi Gold Organization’s initiative highlights the importance of community partnerships in supporting both youth development and family needs during the critical back-to-school period.
