CMSgt. Everette Haburn Glass, (Ret.), 93, of Goldsboro departed this earthly life Sunday, August 17, 2025 at Wayne Memorial Hospital in Goldsboro, North Carolina.
Mr. Glass was born in Jonesville, Virginia on April 18, 1932 to the late Haburn Emmett Glass and Milpha Dilly Frazier.
Everette graduated from Flatwoods High School, Jonesville, Va, Class of 51, as Class Valedictorian. He enlisted in the US Air Force on January 8, 1952 and served 28 years. He attained the rank of Chief Master Sergeant and retired on October 31, 1979. During his many years of service he was stationed in Texas, New Mexico, North Africa, Montana, Tennessee, Ohio, Germany (twice), New York, Vietnam, North Carolina (twice) Thailand, and California. He married Emmeline Lois Denson on August 26, 1954, and together they saw the world while raising four children.
He leaves to cherish his memories two sons, Terry L. Glass and wife, Andrea of Graham, NC and Everette H. Glass II and wife, Karina of South Carolina; one daughter, Lois A. Beardsley and husband, Ralph of Burlington, North Carolina; two brothers, Don Glass of Jonesville, Virginia; Max Glass of Danville, VA; one sister, Emma Jean Forester of Rockwood, Tennessee; ten grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren and seven great-great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Emmeline L. Glass; his son, Darrell W. Glass; two brothers, Paul P. Glass and Silas H. Glass and two sisters, Eva Maria Hill and Reba M. Sadler.
A memorial service will be held at the Russell Chapel Methodist Church Pavillion in Jonesville, Virginia with a date to be announced.

The family is in the care of Howell Funeral Home & Crematory in Goldsboro.
