Two Wayne County Towns Set to Host Independence Day Celebrations

WAYNE COUNTY, N.C. — Mount Olive will begin the holiday weekend celebrations on Friday evening with their annual 4th of July event at Westbrook Park, located across from the Piggly Wiggly. The festivities, hosted by the Exchange Club of Mount Olive along with other local vendors, will start at 5 p.m.

Community members are invited to enjoy an evening of local entertainment and vendor offerings. However, organizers note that no fireworks will be featured at the Mount Olive celebration.

Seven Springs Offers Riverside Celebration

The oldest town in Wayne County, Seven Springs, will host its Independence Day celebration on Saturday afternoon in the downtown area. The event will begin at 7 p.m. on the banks of the scenic Neuse River.

Food trucks will be available throughout the evening to serve attendees, offering a variety of dining options for families and visitors. The highlight of the Seven Springs celebration will be a fireworks display at dark, promising a spectacular show over the Neuse River.

Organizers encourage attendees to bring chairs and blankets to secure the best viewing spots for the fireworks finale along the riverbank.

Both events offer Wayne County residents convenient options to celebrate America’s independence with their local communities this holiday weekend.
