GOLDSBORO, N.C. — The Wayne County Board of Education will convene for a Special Called Meeting on Tuesday, June 24 at 9:00 a.m. The meeting will take place in the Boardroom at the WCPS Central Services building, located at 2001 E. Royall Avenue, Goldsboro, N.C.
Meeting Purpose
The Special Called Meeting has been scheduled to address a number of important topics that may require board discussion, consideration, and action. The key items on the agenda include:
- Closed Session: Typically used to discuss personnel issues, legal matters, or other confidential topics in accordance with state law.
- Year-End Financial Closeout: Final review and actions related to the school system’s finances as the fiscal year concludes.
- Budget Matters: Updates and decisions regarding the upcoming budget cycle and any necessary adjustments or funding considerations.
- Facility & Finance Committee Report Items: Presentation and discussion of recent recommendations or updates from the committee focused on school facilities and financial operations.
- Consent Agenda: Routine items that are generally approved as a group without discussion, unless a board member requests an item be removed for separate consideration.
- Personnel Report: Review and approval of staffing changes, including hires, resignations, transfers, and retirements.
