Carl Jordan Reeves Lewis

June 3, 2025, 43, Goldsboro —

Carl Jordan Reeves Lewis, affectionately known as “Beaux,” passed away on Tuesday at the age of 43. Born on November 25, 1981, in Wayne County, he was the beloved son of Christi Adams and Carl Lewis.

Beaux was a man known for his big heart, warm presence, and unwavering kindness. He worked with dedication throughout his life, having been employed by Flowers Bakery and most recently with AP Parts in Goldsboro.

Since the difficult season of COVID in 2020, Beaux had faced ongoing health challenges. Though his journey was not an easy one, his family finds comfort in knowing that he is now at peace.

Beaux will be remembered by many for his incredible talent in the kitchen — a phenomenal cook and master of the grill, he brought people together through the meals he lovingly prepared. He had a true passion for helping others and was always willing to lend a hand to those in need.

A skilled pool player, Beaux enjoyed spending time with friends and sharing laughter over games. He also shared a special bond with his son, Isaiah, especially through their mutual love of gaming. Beaux was looking forward with joy to the arrival of his first grandchild this coming November.

Left to cherish his memory are his son, Isaiah Lewis (Kristen); mother, Christi Adams McQuaig (Thomas); father, Carl Lewis (Margaret); maternal grandmother, Laura Barton (Jim); siblings, Corin Cogdell (Ed), John Parker (Kayci), Josie Bradley, Lowell Lewis (Megan), and Carla Barker (Tyler); as well as many loving nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins. He is also survived by the mother of his son, Krystal Lewis.

A service to celebrate Beaux’s life will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 14, 2025, at Bethel Church, 2308 N. William Street, Goldsboro. The family will greet friends in the lobby immediately following the service.

Services are entrusted to Seymour Funeral Home and Cremation Service.
