GOLDSBORO, N.C. – The Wayne Community College Association of Educational Office Professionals (WCCAEOP) has announced its 2025 Administrator and Educational Office Professional of the Year, while also installing officers for the 2025–2026 term.
Administrator of the Year: Renita Dawson
Renita Dawson, Vice President of Workforce Continuing Education Services and Community Engagement, has been named WCCAEOP’s 2025 Administrator of the Year. Dawson was recognized for her dedication to valuing and uplifting educational office professionals. Colleagues described her as professional, compassionate, and a leader who exemplifies inclusive leadership.
Educational Office Professional of the Year: Beatrice Birdine
Beatrice Birdine, Office Assistant in the Student Activities Office, has been selected as the 2025 Educational Office Professional of the Year. Birdine was commended for her innovative contributions, team spirit, and strong support of the WCCAEOP’s mission. Her resourcefulness and passion have had a notable impact on her department and the organization as a whole.
New Officers for 2025–2026
WCCAEOP also welcomed new leadership for the upcoming term. The newly installed officers are:
- President: Krystle Anderson, Computer Based Learning Coordinator
- Vice President: Andrea Tyson, Career Pathways Specialist
- Secretary: Kelvin Coley, Assistant Director of Financial Aid
- Treasurers:
- Denise Zakrzewski, Dental Administrative Assistant (serving through Fall 2025)
- Terrie Wellington, Admissions and Records Specialist (serving through Spring 2026)
