NCDMV Looks to Restore License Services in Wilson with New Contractor

ROCKY MOUNT, N.C. – The North Carolina Division of Motor Vehicles (NCDMV) is once again seeking applications from interested parties to operate a License Plate Agency (LPA) in Wilson, following the indefinite closure of the previous location.

Former Wilson LPA Closed March 31

The previous agency, located at 4000 Ward Blvd., Suite D in the Toisnot Village Shopping Center, closed on March 31. Under NCDMV policy, the agency reopens applications for operation when a contract ends, expires, or there is a need to establish a new agency in a specific area.

Application Process Now Open

Prospective contractors must submit completed applications no later than June 24. The required forms—MVR-93I, MVR-93B, or MVR-93M—are available on the Connect NCDOT website. All applications must now be submitted electronically to [email protected]. Applications are due by June 24. Paper submissions will not be accepted.

Applicants with questions may contact the NCDMV at 919-615-8521.
