June 7, 2025, Goldsboro —

Our precious baby, Miller Merle Brooks, was born sleeping on June 7th at 4:37 PM at UNC Health Wayne. We held him in our arms for a moment but we will hold him in our hearts forever. We find comfort knowing he is in the arms of Jesus and one day he will meet us at the gates of heaven.

Miller Merle was the cherished child of Zachary and Jessica Brooks, and little brother to Hadleigh, Cole, Waylon, and Rhett Brooks.
 

He is survived by his grandparents, Sherri and Frank Sasser, Darin Brooks, Sherry Hippo(Todd Richardson), Steve and Emily Davis; great-grandparents, Richard and Bonnie Hainey, David and Frances Brooks, Lorraine White , Linwood and Sandy White, and Bonnie Bass; and many loving Aunts, Uncles, and cousins.
 

He was preceded in death by his Great Grandma, Dorothy Howell and Great Grandpa, Russell Davis.
 

The family will be holding a private memorial service at a later date for close family.

The family is in the care of Howell Funeral Home & Crematory in Goldsboro.
