Wayne County — (June 5) — Following an investigation conducted by the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office, a local man has been arrested and formally charged in connection with a statutory sexual offense involving a juvenile.

The suspect, identified as Henry Adriano Roblero Sanchez, 19, was taken into custody on May 28, 2025. According to the Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded to a call regarding a possible missing juvenile. During the course of the investigation, authorities received information concerning the juvenile’s last known location.

Deputies conducted a search of the specified area and subsequently located the juvenile female inside a vehicle with the defendant. Roblero Sanchez was immediately arrested at the scene without incident.

He has been charged under North Carolina General Statute 14-27.30(B) with a statutory sexual offense involving a person who is 15 years of age or younger. Following his arrest, Roblero Sanchez was presented before a Wayne County Magistrate, where he was ordered to be held without bond.

He is currently being held at the Wayne County Detention Center pending further legal proceedings. The investigation remains ongoing.

Authorities have not released additional details due to the sensitive nature of the case and the involvement of a minor.
