Alvin Glenn Sullivan

May 29, 2025, 81, Goldsboro —

Alvin “Glenn” Sullivan, 81, of Princeton passed away on May 29, 2025 at UNC Johnston Health in Smithfield.  He was born November 24, 1943 in Johnston County to the late Alvin Sullivan and Sallie Wiggs Sullivan.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Sarah Frances “Fran” Price Sullivan; brothers, Robert Sullivan, Roushin Sullivan, James Marvin “Snook” Sullivan and sisters, Frances Grimes and Janie Ezzell.

Glenn grew up in Wayne and Johnston Counties, attending school at Nahunta, Rosewood and Princeton.  He was a carpenter, an electrician, a mechanic – basically if anything needed fixing; take it to Glenn.  He collected classic cars and loved reminiscing about what cars he had owned.  He enjoyed telling stories of days gone by, stories from his childhood and when his children were small.  He raised his family to be strong, proud and resilient; all qualities that he embodied.  The family appreciates Hannah and all of the PCU 2nd floor Nurses for all of their compassion and care.

Glenn is survived by son, Chris Sullivan (Elizabeth) of Princeton; daughters, Kim Thompson (Michael) of Smithfield, and Delaine Capps (Johnny) of Princeton; brother, Jimmy Sullivan (Joan); sisters, Belva Hamm (Jimmy), Becky Wagner, Hilda Bass and Rita Tucker; brothers-in-law, Jerry Ward (Phyllis), and Thomas Ezzell; sister-in-law, Mary Sullivan; grandchildren, Chad Thompson (Nicky), Hunter Thompson (Hannah), Heather Woodard (Josh), Nikki Daughtry (Dillon), Austin Sullivan (Sidney Cormas) and Colby Sullivan (Kalli); great grandchildren, Huntleigh, Kenlee, Kloe, Whitney, Lane and Demi.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, June 1, 2025 from 3:00 pm – 5:00 pm at Casey Funeral Home and Cremations.

A Graveside Service will be at Fellowship Community Methodist Church on Monday, June 2, 2025 at 11:00 am with the Pastor Dennis Pollock officiating.

Although flowers are appreciated, the family suggests contributions be made to UNC Johnston Health in memory of Glenn Sullivan at 509 Bright Leaf Blvd., Smithfield, NC 27577 or Southeastern Medical Oncology Center, 203 Cox Blvd., Goldsboro, NC  27534.
