Goldsboro, N.C. – The heart of downtown Goldsboro was filled with music, memories, and community pride on Saturday, May 24, as the Dillard/Goldsboro Alumni & Friends Inc. held its much-anticipated Homecoming Parade. The event drew hundreds of spectators who lined the streets to show support and celebrate the legacy of one of Goldsboro’s most historic schools.

The parade featured a wide variety of participants and performances that reflected the rich heritage of Dillard High School and the tight-knit community it helped shape. Alumni from graduating classes ranging from 1965 to 2005 proudly marched along the parade route, many wearing school colors and class T-shirts, waving to cheering friends, family, and local residents.

Adding excitement to the celebration were several energetic dance groups who performed choreographed routines, bringing rhythm and flair to the event. Multiple high school marching bands joined the lineup, delivering powerful renditions of classic tunes and crowd favorites, creating an electric atmosphere throughout downtown.

The Goldsboro Fire Department and Police Department took part in the festivities as well, showcasing their vehicles and marching in uniform as a show of solidarity and support for the community. Their presence also helped ensure the safety and organization of the event.
