Theodore Wade

Theodore Wade Holloway, was born in Wayne County, Goldsboro, N.C.
on November 28th, 1944. He was the son of the late Pinkney Hillary (P.H.) Holloway Jr.
and Ina Mae Wade Holloway. He departed this life on Thursday, April 24th , 2025 in
New York City surrounded by his loving family.


Theodore (Teddy) was the second child of seven children, (five girls and two boys). Two
siblings, Edward Earl Holloway and Patricia Ann Holloway preceded him in death.
He was a generous man of strength known to many as “Chief”. While residing in New
York, he attended Cooper High School and later worked for the City of New York.
Having a strong passion for advocacy and social justice he ultimately decided to set his
own path through Entrepreneurship.


Theodore was part of the Black Nationalist movement and was inspired by Nation of
Islam under the teaching of Elijah Mohammad. He believed in Black people as the
original people and dedicated his life to spread the teaching to redefine Black identity and
history. Theodore enjoyed reading, watching inspirational preaching and loved spending
time with his family.


He leaves to cherish his precious memory his wife Roslyn Cherie Holloway, 5 daughters
and 2 sons – Aisha Ravon Holloway, Rasheed Jaleel Holloway, D’Neisha Quanee
Holloway, Janiece Amber Holloway, Theodora Domonique Scott, Theodore Roz’ier Earl
(Pop) Holloway, Ijonay-Africa Latiece Holloway. 6 grandchildren – (Tajonay, Freddie,
Blake, Damia, Mason & Madison) – 5 siblings – Eva C. Williams (Foster) of Columbia,
S.C.,) Hattie M. Wade Holloway of Goldsboro, N.C., Evangeline Holloway of Boston,
M.A., Evonne D. Rouse (Nathaniel) of Goldsboro, N.C., Godsister – Debra J. O’Neil of
New York, N.Y.
He also leaves behind several nieces, nephews and a host of relatives and friends.
