April 30, 2025, 41, Goldsboro —
It is with deepest sadness that we share the passing of Ashley Taylor McNair, 41, on Wednesday, April 30, 2025.
Born on October 12, 1983 and raised in Duplin County, Ashley was a woman with a generous heart and a deep love for her family. She found joy in life’s simple pleasures—whether it was spending time at the beach, lending a hand to others, or cherishing moments with those she loved most.
Ashley was a devoted wife to Lee McNair for 17 wonderful years. They were married on April 25, 2008. She was a loving and dedicated mother to her three children: Gavin Kuhn, Caden McNair, and Olivia McNair. Ashley is survived by her father, Ceness Taylor and stepmother, Terri; her brother, Aaron Taylor and significant other Roxanne Dickel; her stepsister, Heather Storholt and husband Christopher; and her stepbrother, Cody Bogdanowicz and wife Kristina. She also leaves behind her lifelong best friend, Rose Wilson Chirico.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Vallie Barbour Taylor, and her beloved grandparents, Jim and Eleanor Taylor, and Elijah and Geneva Barbour.
Ashley was known for her kind spirit and dedication to others, which shone through her work at Food Lion, where she took pride in serving her community. She was raised in the Faison Presbyterian Church; a foundation that helped shape her generous and loving nature. She will be sorely missed by her friends and family.
A celebration of Ashley’s life will be held at a later date.
