GOLDSBORO, NC — United Way of Wayne County will shed some light on the heart of the community with its Annual Volunteer Ceremony on April 15, at 5:30 p.m., located at the Paramount Theatre

139 S. Center Street, Goldsboro, NC 27530. This is a celebration of the selfless service spirit of the community. The event will recognize recipients of the highly esteemed Governor’s Volunteer Service Award, as well as the many volunteer groups that impact lives across Wayne County.

Free and open to the public, the ceremony will be an evening of hope and inspiration as it celebrates stories of commitment, compassion, and community connection.

“This is our thank you to the unsung heroes who give their time and energy to make Wayne County a better place,” said a United Way representative. “Their efforts are often overlooked, but their impact is felt by everyone.” The ceremony not only honors individual and group effort, but it also emphasizes the significance of volunteerism in the formation of a more unified and strengthened community.
