March 21, 2025, 68, Goldsboro —
Bonnie Blizzard Ham was welcomed into the arms of her Lord and Savior on March 21, 2025. Born in Wayne County on December 12, 1956, she was the daughter of the late Jasper “Buddy” Blizzard and Marie Gainey Blizzard.
In addition to her parents, Bonnie is preceded in death by her husband, Linwood “Buster” Ham; daughter, Dawn Stoner; and second father, Thomas Smith.
Bonnie is survived by her loving daughter, Nancy Ham Wiggins and husband, Stephen; grandchildren and the apples of her eye, Cole Stoner, Bentley Glisson, and Braelynn Worley; sisters, Wanda Fortner and husband, Ronnie, Pat Hix and husband, Walt, and Pam Pennell and husband, Cecil; and step-children, Jeremy Ham and Brock Ham. Bonnie is also survived by numerous step-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews that she loved dearly.
Bonnie was a loving mother, grandmother, and cherished friend. She was a woman who held family close to her heart, with her grandchildren being the light of her life. Bonnie cherished every moment spent with them, always finding joy in their laughter and accomplishments. Her daughter, her best friend, was the center of her world, and the bond they shared was one of deep love and mutual respect. Bonnie often joked that her son-in-law was her favorite “child,” a sentiment that reflected the warmth and kindness she extended to those she loved.
Bonnie’s love for her family was immeasurable, and she will be greatly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her. As per Bonnie’s wishes, there will be no formal service, but her spirit will continue to live on in the hearts of her loved ones.
During this time of grief, we ask that you keep Bonnie’s family in your thoughts and prayers as they navigate this difficult loss. May they find comfort in their cherished memories and the love she so freely gave.
