The third annual “Be The One” Suicide prevention motorcycle ride is being held on Apr. 12.

The ride will begin in Cumberland County, and will stop in Dudley at American Legion Post 11, located at 2973 U.S. 117 S, and will end at American Legion Burton-Cowell Post 265, located at 146 Broadhurst Rd., in Jacksonville.

Registration in Dudley begins at 9:30 a.m. with the ride departing at 11:30.

There will be a car, truck, and bike show, as well as a vendor event following the ride at the Onslow County Fairgrounds.

Proceeds from the event will benefit the North Carolina chapter of the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention.

Last year’s event raised over $4,000.
