Literacy Connections is continuing a tradition that the Friends of the Wayne County Public Library established for many years.
Literacy Connections is a nonprofit dedicated to breaking down barriers to literacy competency for Wayne County residents and their families as we connect, collaborate, and advocate to build skills and confidence through one-on-one literacy coaching.
We have fiction and nonfiction books, children’s books, special interest books, DVD’s, and CD’s for sale at bargain prices. Now’s the time to stock up on your To-Be-Read collection and fill your homes and school libraries with books.
Proceeds from the sale along with the money raised through our Friends of Literacy memberships fill a gap in adult literacy programming greatly needed in our community.
This year’s book sale will be held from Mar. 12 through Mar. 15 in Literacy Connections’ large meeting room at 2001 E. Ash Street next to the Senior Center.
Parking is available.
A preview night will be held for current Friends of the Library and Friends of Literacy members from 5 p.m. to 8 on Mar. 11.
Membership sign-ups are available at the door.
The book sale opens to the general public from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Mar. 12th and will be open on from 10 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. Mar. 13, and from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Mar. 14.
Payments can be made by cash, check or credit card.
Mar. 15 will be the final day of the sale this year and it will be held from 1 p.m. to 5:00 while books are still available.
