Brock Named Interim Chamber President

The Wayne County Chamber of Commerce has announced that Janet Brock will serve as interim President/CEO, effective Mar. 1.

Friday marked Scott Satterfield’s last day as President/CEO of the Chamber.

Satterfield had served in that role since April of 2022.

The Wayne County Chamber of Commerce is continuing its search for a permanent leader.

Brock has been a member of the Chamber staff for over 20 years and currently serves as the Director of Operations & Finance.

Throughout her tenure, she has demonstrated steadfast commitment to the Chamber’s mission, ensuring its financial stability and operational success.

In this interim role, Brock will continue her current responsibilities, while also fulfilling presidential tasks as needed to support the Chamber and its members during this transition.

“Janet is a valuable asset to our organization, and we are incredibly grateful for her leadership during this time,” said Harlon Neal, Chairman of the Wayne County Chamber Board of Directors. “She has always been willing to step in where needed, and her depth of experience will ensure a smooth transition as we seek our next President/CEO. Janet assumes this role not for recognition, but out of a dedication to the Chamber and its mission. Her leadership will provide continuity and stability for our members, businesses, and community partners as we move forward.”

The Chamber’s Board of Directors is actively engaged in the search for a new President/CEO and looks forward to making an announcement in the coming months.

In the meantime, the organization remains committed to serving its members to meet their mission to Engage, Equip, and Elevate Every Business.
