NOTICE OF AVAILABILITY
Final Environmental Assessment for the Munitions Support Area Improvements, Seymour Johnson Air Force Base, North Carolina
A Final Environmental Assessment (EA) and Finding of No Significant Impact (FONSI)/Finding of No Practicable Alternative (FONPA) have been prepared by the Department of the Air Force (DAF) to analyze the potential environmental impacts from installation development proposed to be implemented in the Munitions Support Area (MSA) of Seymour Johnson Air Force Base (SJAFB) over the next five fiscal years.
The Proposed Action would implement seven repair and construction projects in the MSA at SJAFB. Most facilities in the SJAFB MSA were built in the 1950s and 1960s and have had minimal repair and sustainment in recent years. The EA considers all seven proposed projects as components of the overall Proposed Action and evaluates the seven projects and their alternatives collectively. The DAF could choose to implement all, none, or any combination of these seven projects.
The Final EA and FONSI/FONPA are available electronically on the SJAFB website at: https://www.seymourjohnson.af.mil/Home/SJAFB-Environmental-Management.
