September 24, 2024, 84, Goldsboro —

Betty Jacqueline Daughtry Braswell, 84, of Goldsboro, passed away Tuesday, September 24, 2024, at Kitty Askins.  Mrs. Braswell was born on August 6, 1940, in Johnston County.  She was the daughter of the late Elton Isaac and Ethel Mae Braswell Daughtry.  She is also preceded in death by a brother; Jimmie Daughtry.

Mrs. Braswell was a past member of the Rosewood Baptist Church.  She loved to maintain her gardening.  She graduated from Princeton High School in 1957 where she was a  Basketball player. Mrs. Braswell was a Licensed Practical Nurse and in the past, she worked at UNC Wayne Healthcare in Labor and Delivery.  She loved to travel with her favorite destination being Greece.

There will be a Graveside Service at 2:00 pm on Tuesday, October 1, 2024, at the Thompson Cemetery with Chaplin Aaron Bissette officiating.  The family will receive friends following the service.

Mrs. Braswell is survived by her son; Douglas Braswell of Goldsboro, sister; Margie Parrish of Pine Level, two nieces; Lisa Johnson (Alan) and Denise House (Michael).
