Ronnie Ray McMillan, 74, passed away peacefully on Monday, July 15, 2024, at home surrounded by his family. Ronnie was born in Gantt, Alabama to the late Emma McMillan Copeland on July 11, 1950. He was preceded in death by his siblings, Cheryl Wright; Betty Ramos; and Jacob Copeland.

Ronnie proudly served in the United States Air Force and retired after 24 years of service with the rank of Master Sergeant. His service to our country was recognized with numerous decorations. After retiring, he worked for Griffin Steel & Supply until his health declined. Ronnie was a member of the Korean Presbyterian Church in Goldsboro.

Ronnie enjoyed spending time with his family, fishing, sports, and restoring classic cars. He had a very generous heart and was always there to provide support for anyone who needed it.

Ronnie is survived by his wife, Hyonyang Kim McMillan; daughter, Christina McMillan; son, Joey McMillan; and brothers, Michael Copeland (Hazel); and Jeffrey Copeland (Renee).

The family will receive friends on Friday, July 19, 2024, from 9:30 – 10:30 a.m. at Seymour Funeral Home. A service to celebrate Ronnie’s life will follow at 10:30 a.m. in the chapel with Rev. Hyeok Jin Choi officiating. Interment with full military honors will be held at 12:00 noon in the Eastern Carolina State Veterans Cemetery.
