Glenn Marion Brock, 65, passed away on Thursday, May 16, 2024, at UNC Health Wayne. Born in Wayne County on July 27, 1958, he was the son of the late Durwood and Inez Brock.

In addition to his parents, Glenn was preceded in death by his brothers, D.B. Brock and Ray Brock; and sister, Billie Jo Brock Bizzell.

Glenn is survived by his wife of over 40 years, Carol Brock; son, Glenn Brock, Jr. and wife, Beth; granddaughter, Bayley Brock; and sisters, Bonita Jones (Owen) and Pat Benson (Jackie).

Glenn was the longtime owner of Brock’s Ceramic Tile where he was known for his expertise in tile installation. He enjoyed being outdoors on the water with a fishing line in hand, awaiting the tug on the line from his next catch.

A service to celebrate Glenn’s life will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, May 18, 2024, in the sanctuary of First Baptist Church with Rev. Vernon Braswell and Rev. Scott Thrailkill officiating. Interment will follow at Wayne Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 9:30 – 10:30 a.m. in the hour prior to the service in the church fellowship hall.
