Mr. Raymond Atkinson Jr., 82, completed his final earthly assignment on Thursday, May 9, 2024, at home surrounded by his loving family. The celebration of his life will be held on Thursday, May 16, 2024, at 1:00 pm with a viewing from 12:00 pm to 12:45 pm at Goldsboro-Raleigh District Assembly (GRDA), 211 West Hooks River Road, Goldsboro, NC. He will be laid to rest on Friday, May 17, 2024, at 2:00 pm at the Eastern Carolina State Veterans Cemetery, 164 Longs Plant Farm Road, Goldsboro, NC.

He was born in Wayne County, NC to Raymond Atkinson Sr. and Helen Everett Atkinson. He is survived by his children, grandchildren, siblings and other loving relatives, and many friends.
