Bryan Lee Jackson passed away peacefully at home in Goldsboro on Friday, April 19, 2024. Born in Goldsboro on January 11, 1982, he was the son of Marisa Jackson and the late William “Billy” Pearsall. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Gordon and Peggy Jackson, his paternal grandparents, William and Arlene Pearsall, and his step-grandmother, Carolyn Pearsall.

Bryan had a kind and gentle spirit. He had a green thumb and enjoyed watching things grow. Chess was his game of choice and he loved teaching others the art of the game, but his favorite pastime was having meaningful conversations and cooking out with family and friends. He was a grateful and selfless man.

Bryan is survived by his mother, Marisa Jackson, who raised him with unconditional faith, love, and support; his sister and confidant, Serena Jackson; Uncles, Michael Jackson, and Mark Jackson along with his wife Sue, Kevin Jackson, Jeff Pearsall alongside his wife Marian, Brett Pearsall, and his Aunt, Kyra Pearsall; and Cousins, Jennifer Robins, Crystal Williams, Tommy Richardson, and Alyssa Jackson.

The memorial service will be held at Seymour Funeral Home on Saturday, May 4, 2024. The family will receive friends from 2:00 – 2:30 and the memorial service will follow in the chapel.

The family is deeply grateful for all the food, calls, visits, cards, and prayers. The appreciation could never be fully expressed.

Bryan will forever be remembered for his loyalty, compassion, and his genuine kind spirit. He will be truly missed.
