December 23, 2023, 60, Mount Olive —

At the age of 60, Ralph Mark Nowell passed away on December 23, 2023. Having been raised in Mount Olive, he graduated from Southern Wayne High School. He had lived in Georgia, but at the time of his death, he was residing in the Goldsboro area.

Mark had been employed as a truck driver and dispatcher with Budweiser. He was the son of the late Judge William Milton Nowell and Myrna Lancaster Nowell.

He leaves behind two sons, Charlie Nowell and Zack Nowell, both of Georgia; a brother, W. Milton Nowell, Jr. of Goldsboro; a sister, Marsha Nowell Rehm and her husband, Charles, of Greenville, their son, Adam Rehm of Greensboro, and their daughter, Allison Rehm of Greenville.

The Nowell family will honor his memory at a gathering, time and place to be announced.
