Rastus “Dobbin” Woodard, 89, passed away on Monday, December 18, 2023, at Wake Med Hospital in Raleigh. Born in Johnston County on November 11, 1934, he was the son of the late James Woodard and Cressie Narron Woodard.

A service to celebrate Rastus’s life will be held on Friday, December 22, 2023, at 12:00 p.m. at Antioch Baptist Church in Middlesex with Pastor Bobby Richardson officiating. The family will greet friends prior to the service, from 11:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. in the sanctuary. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
