Jason Leon Martin, 54, passed away on Saturday, December 16, 2023. Born in Greene County on April 10, 1969, he was the son of Leon Martin and the late Elaine Wilkins.

In addition to his father, Jason is survived by his four children, Dane, Olivia, Brooke, and Brayden Martin and his sister Jami Lee Amy, and husband, Jeremy Amy.

Jason graduated from Rosewood High School in 1987 and East Carolina University in 1991 with a degree in Communications. An actor and model in his twenties, he went on to have a career in management in the restaurant industry, achieving awards for his work. He enjoyed writing, television, music, movies, and cooking. Particularly: The Andy Griffith Show, The Wedding Singer, John Mayer, Goodfellas, Scarface, and Sixteen Candles.

His most cherished accomplishment is being a loving dad to his four children. He was a beloved father full of humor, life, and talent. A special human who will be dearly missed forever.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, December 21, 2023, from 11:30 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. at Seymour Funeral Home in Goldsboro. A graveside service will be held at 1:00 p.m. at the Princeton Cemetery with Pastor Andy Stovall officiating.
