Jimmy Randolph Edwards passed away at Wayne UNC Health Care on Thursday, September 14, 2023, at the age of 57. Jimmy was born in Wayne County to the late Randolph William Edwards and Janice Newell Edwards on May 15, 1966. In addition to his parents, Jimmy was preceded in death by his uncles, Buddy Edwards, Rayford Edwards, Jay Bird Edwards, Ray Newell, and Alvin Newell; and aunt, Avis Britt.

Jimmy had a huge heart, always giving and reaching out to others, there wasn’t a stranger he hadn’t met. He loved to make people laugh. Most would remember the excitement that Jimmy’s presence would bring. Today, we find peace in knowing Jimmy has been reunited with his parents.

No formal services will be held.

Jimmy is survived by his partner, Keith Westbrook.
