June 13, 2023, 86, Goldsboro –

Robert Jackson Lynch, 86, passed away June 13th, 2023 in Goldsboro North Carolina. He was a retired Air Force police officer and beloved teacher at several schools including Goldsboro High School. He later stepped into the role of principal at that same high school before leaving to teach at Wilson Christian Academy where he eventually retired again.

He was preceded in death by his father William Jackson Lynch, mother Pansy Belle Lynch, and sister Margret Lynch Thompson, as well as brother-in-law Vernon Branton.

Robert Is survived by his wife Dorothy Branton Lynch, two sons Anthony Jackson Lynch with wife Kristine Lynch and Samuel Walter Lynch with wife Kimberlee Johnson, five grandchildren, and 2 great-grandchildren, as well as sister-in-law Annette Gains with husband Berry Barbour and sister-in-law June Branton.

The family will receive friends Wednesday, June 21, 2023, from 1-2 PM at Seymour Funeral Home, followed by a graveside service at Wayne Memorial Park at 2:30 PM.
