A Busy Day for Firefighters in Wayne County

Windy conditions Tuesday afternoon kept many of the volunteer firefighters busy responding to multiple calls throughout the southside of Wayne County.

Dudley and Mar-Mac departments responded to a woods fire in Rolling Wood estate that did some damage to a wooden fence. The forestry service was also dispatched to the scene to assist the firefighters. While on this scene firefighters learned of a woods fire on Camp Jubilee Road.

Several units managed to break away from the woods fire to go and assist Indian Springs with a possible structure and woods fire. Shortly after this firefighters on the scene were sent to a kitchen fire on Country  Club Road. Units responding to this were Mount Olive, Dudley, Smith Chapel, Grantham and Thoroughfare along with EMS personnel .
