Ollie Belle Davenport, 91, passed away on Friday, January 20, 2023, at Magnolia Cottage Care in Dover.

Ollie was born in Lee County on March 10, 1931, to the late Lemuel and Emmie Craven Davenport. She was employed as a nursing instructor at Duke University until her retirement.

Ollie’s Christian faith and trust in God were evident in her daily life. The love and kindness that she had for others were a blessing to all who knew her.

The family will receive friends on Friday, January 27, 2023, from 10:30 – 11:00 a.m. at Seymour Funeral Home, followed by a service to celebrate her life at 11:00 a.m. with Larry Tyndall presiding. The interment will be at the Buffalo Cemetery in Sanford.

Ollie is survived by her nieces, Patricia Pond and husband, Randall of Coatsville, PA, and Elisa Tyndall and husband, Larry of Goldsboro; nephew, Richard Norris of Goldsboro; and eight great nieces and nephews she loved very much.
