As Hurricane Ian makes landfall in South Carolina, the wind and rain will continue through Saturday. As they pass through local authorities want to remind everyone that water will collect rapidly on the roads and traffic signals may be out. Please proceed with caution and treat non-working traffic lights as a four-way stop sign.

The National Weather Service has recorded that in some areas of Wayne County 2.61 inches of rain have fallen. As the eye of Ian approaches the South/North Carolina borders the rain rate increase as do the winds. Wind gusts of 49 mph have in reported in the Goldsboro Area.
