A large crowd of people started to gather before 4 p.m Saturday in Mount Olive’s Nelson Street Park to receive a free book bag filled with school supplies.
This event began twelve years ago by a group of local men known as the Men of FIC. This
organization of men came up with the idea of giving back to the community by passing out 50 book bags in the first year. And from then the event has grown to over 500 book bags this year.
